Dear Photograph...

I stumbled upon this over the weekend via one of my favorite blogs, DesignMom.

Isn't this such a lovely idea? It makes me want to dig up some old photos and make my own 'Dear Photograph' series. Now that we live in such a digital age having printed photos seems like such a special treasure. I think it would be so cool to use travel photos from my youth and visit some of my favorite sights around the world once more...

The other day while packing/organizing things for my trip back to Holland, I found a flash drive which I had thought was lost forever during one of my many moves around Amsterdam. Now that it’s been rediscovered I’d really like to print some of the photos and some something creative…I have a few handy ideas up my sleeve (thanks pinterest!) so, we’ll see what happens. How does this photo series inspire you?

  1. Very cool! I can think of quite a few places I've been that I'd love to go again and do something like this, Jerusalem, Paris, Brittany, a field somewhere in England, Puerto Vallerta. Ahhh.

    1. isn't it so cool!? i'd like to start taking more 35mm photos (just wish they weren't so pricey to develop!) i also really want to use some photos and do this when i get back to amsterdam, care to join?

  3. super cool indeed! more complicated is to get back to some spots where we've taken pictures before. But I'm sure even the backyard would be cool!

    1. you're right, in some cases this could become quite an expensive project to replicate. but i'd like to start with some local photos and see how that works out... it's just so inspiring!
